Tantus Echo Handle Silicone Dildo

I almost don’t want to write this review since it marks the end of the box of goodies I had from Tantus.  But, here I am writing it nonetheless.  So what is the last item from the box to get subsmissives review?  It’s the entirely unique Tantus Echo Handle.

I’ve never seen anyone other than Tantus carry a dildo with a handle. Would that be a Dildandle? But it seems such a genius idea…

I was particularly intrigued because, in the dynamic of our sexual relationship, there is a rather a lot of what I term 3rd party dildo use.  That’s where M and the dildo form parties 1 and 2, and I am party 3, using no 2 on no 1.

Using a dildo in this manner, I often find that either my grip on the dildo in poor to get the thrusting that M likes, or that there is little of the dildo to grip to be able to get the rhythm she likes.  I had high hopes that the addition of the handle would combat both of these problems.

What this means though is that you get an absolutely enormous dildo!  It is really, really long.  7 inches of insertable length, plus a 4 inch handle means a total length of 11 inches.  At this size, it can be difficult to store discreetly.

The Echo Handle

The Echo Handle’s handle is, according to Tantus’ own blurb, ergonomically designed.  What this means is that you get your silicone moulded into four finger-grip grooves.  The circumference is good, both M and I have found it comfortable to hold; not too big and not too small.  It does flare out at the bottom, suggesting it has been designed more for first party use than third party, but it is perfectly comfortable either way.  There is a slight difference in appearance between the dildo end and the handle end, and that is that the dildo is shiny whilst the handle is sheeny.  I’m not really sure why, but it’s not worth pondering over.

Strangely enough, the handle seems to gather more dust than the dildo!

The Dildo

The Echo Handle’s dildo is a bit of an enigma.  Our one is a nice shiny purple, well that’s what M tells me, shiny purple is shiny purple in my book, but this one is nice.  It has 7 inches of insertable length, along which there are 5 bumps or ridges.  The Echo Handle is perfectly straight, save for those ridges.  This is perhaps an unusual design, considering that Tantus’ own blurb says designed to target the g-spot.  G spot dildos usually make a point of being angled to target that very spot.

The head of the dildo is slightly bulbous in relation to the rest of the dildo, and I’m thinking this is why Tantus choose to describe it thusly. M was a little concerned over this bulbous head, but she needn’t have been, with some decent water based lube, it slipped in with ease.

Next up is those ridges, now they’re pretty intimidating; more of an undulation than a ridge, so expectations were low, but by golly M loves them.  It’s not the girthiest of all toys, though it is significantly more girthsome than the recently reviewed Tantus Curve, which has slightly more pronounced ridges.  However, what girth it does have suits M just fine; she could feel those ridges, and loved the feeling of them as a slid the dildo slowly into her vagina.

I’m quite happy at this point with the handle, holding it a bit like a sword, sat next to M’s legs, who is lying as one might expect.  It is easy to grip, easy to control, easy to switch grip to something more like a javelin if you so desire.  The opportunities the handle opens up are a revelation, really.  It makes it so much easier to not only thrust, but to twist, change angles, make lateral movements, vary speed, and pretty much anything you want to do.  Especially useful is the ability to meet, without trouble, M’s instructions to go faster, harder, faster, harder without fear of losing grip and the dildo spontaneously ejecting itself from within.

Coupled with a favourite clit vibe, I was able to bring M to a double orgasm in under 10 minutes with the Echo Handle.  This is pretty good going, as it can often can take longer.  I think if its textures were slightly more defined, then there would be more sensations to bring her to climax sooner.  However, the undulations coupled with the slightly bulbous worked a treat, and I loved that I was able to control the dildo so well, leaving me more time to enjoy watching her enjoying it.

I’m not sure it will replace her love of glass, but it has become my dildo of choice; superb work Tantus.  There is absolutely more space in our toy cupboard for behandled dildos.

Of course, no review of the Echo Handle would be complete without a spot of self-use.  And so it was I came to be sat on the floor watching M play with the dildo.  As suspected, the handle is super comfortable, but I don’t think she had quite as much enjoyment from it as when I was wielding it.  You see, M likes to lay back and enjoy the ride, and her own masturbatory technique usually involves something strong, buzzy and quick.  There is absolutely no doubt that the handle makes this dildo super easy to use for oneself, but clearly you are limited to the angles you can achieve within your own flexibility, and since it is neither suction cup nor harness compatible, those aren’t an option in themselves.

I think it fair to say that M was even more glad of the handle to grip to than I was myself. I found it a massive turn on to watch her masturbate with a dildo with such fluidity, since a lot of regular dildo use tends to be interspersed with regripping fumbles.  The Echo Handle gives M another option with which to effectively tease me since it affords a much better view of what’s going on than if her hand was cupped round the base of a shorter dildo.

Long live the Handle!
